The Opportunity

Capture Culture People & Risk Solutions is proud to be partnering with Adelaide’s Finest to recruit two exceptional Assistant Store Managers. These newly created opportunities sit within two of South Australia’s most iconic supermarket destinations, located at Pasadena and Frewville.

This is not a typical retail leadership role. It is an opportunity to operate within a high performing, large-format environment where expectations are elevated, standards are uncompromising, and leadership truly matters.

Working in close partnership with the Store Manager, you will play a pivotal role in translating strategy into execution bringing structure, energy, and precision to the daily pulse of the store. You will have genuine influence across multiple business units, leading front-line leaders while shaping performance, culture, and customer experience at scale.

You will be empowered to:

  • Drive commercial performance through disciplined execution and strong decision-making
  • Lead, coach, and elevate Business Managers and Team Leaders
  • Shape a premium in-store experience that reflects Adelaide’s Finest brand
  • Influence how the store operates day-to-day, identifying opportunities to improve performance

Importantly, this role is designed as a true leadership pathway, providing the exposure and capability required to progress into a Store Manager role and beyond.

About You

You are an accomplished retail leader who thrives in environments where standards are high and expectations are clear. You bring a balance of commercial acumen, people leadership, and operational discipline, along with the presence and confidence to lead from the front. You will demonstrate:

  • Proven leadership experience within supermarket or large-format retail
  • Self-awareness and decisive leadership and that you thrive in autonomous environments taking full ownership of performance and outcomes
  • Strong commercial insight, with the ability to drive sales, productivity, and margin
  • The ability to lead, influence, and align teams at multiple levels
  • A calm, decisive approach in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
  • A genuine commitment to customer experience and brand excellence
  • A leadership style grounded in accountability, professionalism, and respect
  • Australian work authorisation is required for this position.

Location

One Assistant Store Manger will be based at Adelaide’s Finest at Pasadena and the other will be based at Adelaide’s Finest at Frewville.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and practical WHSQE Manager to oversee and continuously improve Safety, Quality, and Environmental practices across the business.

This is a trusted, hands-on leadership role suited to a safety professional who can confidently operate across both the factory floor and management systems. You will play a critical role in maintaining compliance, strengthening capability, and positively influencing behaviours and culture throughout the organisation.

Working closely with the Operations Manager and Managing Director, this role holds genuine influence in shaping safe, efficient, and high-performing plant operations.

About the Role

This position combines operational engagement with administrative and systems leadership.

You will be responsible for leading compliance, supporting continuous improvement, and embedding practical WHSQE solutions that genuinely support production and people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain WHS, Quality, and Environmental compliance
  • Drive proactive safety and risk management practices
  • Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and hazard identification
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain and improve ISO-certified management systems
  • Lead internal audits and support external audits
  • Manage non-conformances and system improvements
  • Support technology integration within the IMS
  • Provide practical, solutions-focused advice to leaders and teams
  • Influence behaviours and culture across plant operations
  • Liaise with consultants, auditors, and industry stakeholders

About You

You are a confident, credible safety and compliance professional who thrives in operational environments.

You will ideally bring:

  • Experience in WHS, HSEC, Quality, or Compliance leadership
  • Strong understanding of WHS legislation and management systems
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and investigations
  • Ability to influence, engage, and build relationships at all levels
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or high-risk environments (highly regarded)
  • A practical, solutions-oriented approach
  • High levels of integrity, professionalism, and accountability

Qualifications

Formal qualifications in Work Health & Safety or related disciplines are desirable. Equivalent practical experience will be highly regarded.
